Hi,
Back again
Having sored out the front brake cylinders so they are now all the same size (original 1 inch diam.) I went to get the front shoes relined.
As ususal the linings are of differing sizes for trailing and leading but all 4 linings I took off are of identical size. The shoes will not accepted the 2 new smaller linings since the holes don't line up ! and I don't seem to be able to get replacemnt shoes.
Presumably the physical dimensions of the shoes should all be the same it is just the positioning of the rivet holes.
Does it matter if I have 4 large linings (apart of course from having to buy 2 complete sets to get 4 large ones.)
Could I get new holes drill in 2 of the existing shoes to accept the smaller linings
Help please !
Many Thanks
Ian
PS yes I have checked and I did not put all the small lining shoes on the back wheels, they are as they should be.
