A "Healey people" story
Background: Last spring my wife and I drove our Healey to the grocery store here in Oriental. The town is small so there is only one grocery store and it is family owned. My wife went in and I sat in the car enjoying some tunes and the day. A lady walked up to me and said she and her husband were on a boat docked at the town marina heading north. They had owned several big Healeys and currently have a 100M that was professionally restored. My wife and I were invited to their boat for wine and good conversation. The couple are Vicki and David Fuger from Michigan. They left the next day headed to Oxford, Md. where they were going to leave the boat until fall. Current: Yesterday I drove my Healey down to the ice cream shop by the town docks to get a milkshake. After I parked along the waterfront and walked over to the shop a lady walked over and said " I don't remember your name but we met at the grocery store in the spring. It was Vicki. She and David are on their way to winter in the Abaco Islands and had stopped again in Oriental. I visited with them again on their boat and we planned on getting together when the come back through in the spring. You meet the nicest people through our Healeys. This has proven out time after time. Some of our best friends are EdK and his wife Eve who we met at a British car event.
