Restoring a 65 FHC. The rear hatch door had the paint and primer removed by being dipped in a chemical solution. I do not know what the solution was. I cleaned the exterior of the door using PPG DX 579 Metal cleaner. I thoroughly rinsed with water. Then used SX 520 Metal conditioner and again thoroughly rinsed with water. Allowed it to dry and sprayed it with two coats of PPG epoxy primer. I noted the interior section between the door hatch skin and the door hatch frame is bare metal. Unless I address this it will rust from the inside out. I was thinking of taping the holes up and swishing the metal cleaner around and flush with water. The same with the metal conditioner. After allowing to dry take the epoxy primer thin it a little with acetone and swish it around to cover both interior sides between the door skin and door frame. Other than being really messy I don't see too many issues. Any thoughts, ideas, recommendations or suggestions ?
