I am not sure whether this one is available for use in Italy, but it works well and has a few advantages:
https://www.optimustracker.com/
The unit is self-contained and smaller than a pack of cigarettes and has a built-in rechargeable battery that will allow the unit to send location information for up to two weeks after removal from a nominal 12 VDC power source. I use the system with the optional vehicle charger cable so the unit stays charged. (I hide the power wire; use an inline fuse close to the battery, and allow the unit to stay powered even when the battery disconnect switch is "off.")
When there is no motion, the unit reports position at about once per two hours. Once motion is detected, the system will report position more frequently. At 19.95 USD per month, it can report once per minute. Pay more and you get more frequent updates, but once per minute is good enough for theft deterrence and approximate location after the vehicle is stopped.
Let's say someone breaks into the garage and scans your car for a periodic cellular signal to detect the presence of a GPS tracking device.
The Optimus Tracker has a vibration detector so, even assuming a smart thief were to find the unit and remove it from the car, you will get at the least some "movement detection" alarms. Of course, then the vehicle is no longer protected, but this would be true for any GPS device that reports position using cellular technology.
Weaknesses?
Due to its small size and cost factor, the unit appears not to use differential GPS (multiple receivers and antennae for greater accuracy,) so you have to set the geofence large enough to compensate for position jitter which may be up to 100 or 200 feet in any direction. I do not find this to be a problem. To get better accuracy, one wold need a larger package, something that would be harder to hide and easier to find and remove or disconnect.
I'd tell you where I hid mine but then I'd have to shoot you!
