ZS Carb Rebuild

Might be looking to get my ZS carb rebuilt for a 79 Midget 1500. Any recommendations on shops? I got a few quotes and they seem really pricing (>$250). I am in Colorado but would ship as well.

Joe Curto in NY state does full service on ZS and SU's - price are available on his website.

www.joecurto.com

Joe's generally considered to be a carb guru and they service old windshield wiper motors, etc.

Check his site out - By the way, when you email him he answers it himself, promptly - Astonishing!

Have you considered rebuilding it yourself or is it too bad? If its just replacing the gaskets, etc it isn't that difficult.

If yours is really bad and money is short I have several laying around you can have for the cost of shipping. I just went to a HIF-6 SU as I was having continued problems not with the ZS carb itself but the darn water choke. Perhaps you could use your choke assembly and one of mine to save a little cash. Anyways if interested let me know.

Thanks for the offer. I think I am going to try to rebuild mine. I got into it and its not as dificult as I had first thought. I will keep it in mind. Thanks again
