I have a 175CD carb on my 1980 mgb. I calibrated the thermo element and I need a new gasket that bolts the housing to the heating element. Does anyone know the PN for this gasket or where I can get one? Now I am waiting for this before getting it back on the road again. Thank you

Unless the car is to be judged for originality, consider a manual choke conversion. The hot water and electric versions are a "compromise to convenience" in my opinion. And just one more gizmo bound to cause grief at some point. Having worked on these things since the early eighties in our shop, replacing the "automatic" unit eliminated a future failure. The manual version just WORKS.

Thanks for the suggestion but I prefer to use what I have.
Any ideas on getting the specs for that sealing ring?
Paul

Haven't seen one in years now, but seem to remember it's just an o-ring. Try a bearing supply house locally, they usually deal in seals and such as well as bearings.
