TR6 Zenith Strombers won't start when warm.

I'm almost ready to finally get my '76 TR-6 smogged. (california, not exempt) It's got rebuilt 175CD-2SEVX carbs. The problem is it won't re-star after it is warmed up. It starts just fine if I let it sit over night. Any ideas ?

Are you following the technique in the Drivers Handbook that's described in "Starting a Hot Engine" ?
If you are and you find the engine still won't start, it's probably a fuel/air mixture and or ignition timing problem that needs dialing in.
Fuel percolation will make the engine hard to start, but the hot engine starting technique will help. The once reluctant to start engine may run rough until enough of the fresh and cooler fuel gets pumped into the float chambers.

I would certainly double-check the mixture. Too rich Stroms will be hard to start hot and also bog down when you have to sit thru a long traffic light on a hot day.
