Zaino/Meguires up-date
Update on my last rantings; After drooling more over the 'vettes and Miatas on the net that claim to be using this Zaino stuff
I looked my car over carefully and noticed how nice the bottom half looked (stopped at one coat of Z5 and one Z2). So, last night added another layer of Z2 to the lower half, plus the bonnet and fenders (after using some 3M Swirl remover on light scratches - not a 100% cure but not terribly objectionable anymore)
One other "trick" nobody seems to have mentioned is the applicator I came up with. Everyone raves about the sponge-covered-with-cotton applicators but I seemed to have been pulling off as much Z5/Z2 as I put on. I ended up using small cutoffs from the border of the towels I'm using (Fieldcrest high quality stuff). End result is some small 3-4" square 100% cotton applicators that last for about one treatment then are a throwaway item.
