My files were converted professionaly and seem to be in a Nero show time file (type .VOB). Win XPpro nor youtube understands this type of file but they do play on my TV and computer?
The file in question is 888,000KB too big to email I think and as windows does not understand the format I can't cut it down or edit it.
It.s starting to **** me off as it is made up of lots of smaller clips of individual runs and pans and such.
Drew, what the heck do I do with this?? I could cut a cd with just that file and mail it maybe to someone real smart.

VOB is a DVD video format. It will have to be converted to another format to be posted to YouTube. If you would like to send me a copy, I would be happy to help out. If you send it to me, it is very important that you make an exact copy of the entire disk. DVD formatting spreads data across several files, and all of the files will be needed to play or convert your video.

Morris is correct. You'll have to convert from the DVD to a true computer format to use it. Best thing would be to do as he suggested and send him an exact duplicate of the DVD. You'd have to copy it as if it were a commercial DVD movie. Those individual files are not meant to be used directly. Copy the DVD, and make sure that the copy plays on your TV fine.
