Your TR related New Year resolutions / goals?

Finish the chassis project by getting all the gussets I've made welded in, then re-paint or PC in Red everyone does black,boring... Seal inside with cavity wax or similar. Then move back to stripping body.
Chassis to be finsihed by Feb.

Keep it out of the ditches & off the trees.

Having been unemployed for all of 2010 (unless someone hires me in the next 3 1/2 hours). I was able to get a lot done on the TR6 this year--basically, it's road-ready. So my resolution for 2011 is to get a job so I can license and insure it and drive it.

I bet you'll be driving soon - hang in there.

The fixes and improvements for the TR250:

Finish: Still have to put on the convertible top and a small bit of carpet above the front of the tranny tunnel.

Fixes: The only issue (I am aware of at this time) with the TR250 is a leakey rear diff, I have all the seals and gaskets to fix, will get er done this spring when it warms up a little. Oh of course I had to think long enough, need to get the speedo adjusted it is pretty far off.

Improvements: Front and Rear Sway Bars, put in the electronic ignition, would like to get some TR4 or 4A strombergs to eliminate the emmissions stuff and get more adjustment to my mixture, install the Pertronix, maybe send the distributor to Jeff at Advanced distributors for a rebuild and recurve

I don't know if that was good or bad to write that all down, in my head I just was going to do a "couple more things" to the car this year. (edit for spelling, probably still missed something)

I got carried away last year with the old "while I'm at it, I might as well..." routine.

Going to just drive it in 2010 - at least thats the plan for now!

Cheers,

Doug

TR3 restoration:
Since I made it to the half way point in 2010, and got the chassis back together, with the engine on it and running, I feel like I'm half way done with the whole car. If I can get the tub to a point that it can be put back on the frame, I'll be half way there in 2011. -I feel like every year will get the remaining 1/2 done, and know it will never be finished (it's the journey, not the destination, right?).

TR6:
I'd like to see another complete year with the TR6 not needing any major work, but it will need some new rubber in 2011.

-and maybe find a job to afford keeping them both.

I wish everyone a fulfilling New Year.

Absolutely. Now that I'm done with my TR3 after four years of work, the completed car is sort of an anti-climax. Now what?? If I had more room in the garage, I'd be looking for another project. For me, all the fun was in turning a turd into a finished product.
