your favourite comedy duo?

Took a while to think about it, but.....
EEOBE1976.jpg

Eric Morcombe and Ernie Wise.

My ex-wife and her mother. Oh wait, they didn't intend to be funny, they were just pitiful.

I always kind a liked Agents 86 and 99.

They probably aren't shown in the USA but my favorite pair are John Bird and John Fortune that do a mock interview sketch on the Rory Bremner show here in the UK.

One usually plays a politician and the other an interviewer, and its pure, unadulterated satire. A kind of "That Was The Week That Was" for our times....

Wish I could find some links to their material....

And has everybody forgotten a truly classic duo...Bob & Ray?

Nobody's mentioned Cheech and Chong!

"Aw, man, you don't know who Santa Claus is, man!"
"Yeah, well, I'm not from here, man. Like, I'm from Pittsburgh, man. I don't know too many local dudes."

And then there's "Sister Mary Elephant"

And, "Dave's not here!"

Cheech and Chong are already up there duude, Whatcha smokin'? Look out for the Clorox or the Black Lab, man! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

WHOA! Far out! Guess I had too many of Santa's Ol' Lady's brownies, man!

It was almost a coin toss situation, and I must say that Morcambe and Wise were wonderful, but I have to go with The Two Ronnies..... Ronnie Barker was an accomplished actor in his own right, and his acting ability lent a great deal to their sketches. That was enough to tip the balance

Another forgotten duo...Jackie Gleason and Art Carney!!
/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif Andy Griffith and Don Knots! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Just given a "Honeymooners" CD... Haven't started it yet but am looking forward to it.

Ooohh, one of these days, Doc...One of these daaaays! To da moon, I tell ya, to da moon! That's one of the nice things about workin' in da sewers Ralphie,...things are always lookin up! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
