Mine is a tie between the long nose 1955 D-type race car with fin & the late 80s XJ220C race car than also won LeMans
after those I like the XKR14, XKR 13,
E type & XKR
Yes the XK120 was a beauty, I heard its lines were inspired by the French designers Figoni-Falaschi who did fantastic shapes for the Delage's & Delahayes of the 1930s
Gene;
Having driven a number of XK-E's and owning an XK 120 DHC, I like the "true" sports car feel of the 120.. that and I can get my feen between the seat and the door.. the E-Type is a little too comfortable ;-} and the space between seat and "A" post makes it very difficult for my size elevens to get in the "E" (especially the drop-pan floors) without dragging the toe of my boot across the door panels..
I don't care for the rear wheel "tramp" of the 120 as the E-Type's IRS IS far superior in hard cornering.. but the 120 will break the back end loose quicker and allow you to "steer" with the throttle.. I really like that.. scares the heck outta everybody else, but it's way too much fun..
