I vaguely seem to recall that SEMA was backing some from of legislation that was not at all car guy friendly. But my mind may be playing tricks on me.

That would certainly seem to be counter to what SEMA is supposed to be about. There more all about car guys.

Take a look...they monitor anti-automobile legislation and do their best to help defeat this crazy stuff...

Mass wants to ban aftermarket exhaust systems...KY and WVA want to ban parts cars from your property...NY wants to ban 'spinner' hubcaps (knockoffs too!)...yada...yada...yada.
