What's so wrong with it?!?! Brought home a Steelcase five-drawer filing cabinet on the MG's luggage rack, a 26" CRT TV, boxed, strapped to the boot of the Elan. Kid who wheeled that TV to the car says:" HEY!! You can't do that! That's a 26" television!" To be fair, it did impede rearward vision somewhat.
 
I think it was the illegal use of a "trailer"
Now if he did that in SC, nobody would look twice

Doc, about a decade ago we were driving home at beside us was a guy with a Mercedes Pagoda - top down with a massive TV in the back. Unfortunately it had started raining - rarely have I seen a guy look more miserable - wet car interior and wet TV - it sure seemed like a good idea at the time.
 
Reminds me of a story from last fall where some woman on the east coast bought an inflatible pool for her kids. Rather than deflating it she got stopped by police with it strapped to the roof of her car, with 2 kids in it to keep it from blowing off...
 
Canadians don't say aboot. It sounds more like aboat.

Used to love to listen to Fahster Hewitt calling hockey games from Toronto on cold winter nights.
And games in French from the Forum - preceded by that great Canadian National Anthem sung by Roger Doucette.
 
Naw, it's "Trawna". Kind of like I live in "Calgry". In some cases, vowels appear to be optional. Doug
