You know you drive a Healey when ...

I saw this running post on another site for Jeeps and thought it might be fun to get everyone's ideas for Healeys.

I'll give it a start...

You know you drive a Healey when:

- You worry when the oil stops leaking

- Your cup holder demands equal time behind the wheel

Your things that need to be fixed on it is always in your mind, but you drive it with abandon anyway.

your "normal" cars sit outside so your Healey can be in the garage.

When you think the push-to-start button on your new Lexus is "quaint" old technology.

You can't wait for the new grocery store to open that is 10 miles further away than the one you go to now.

Your mantra when driving becomes "Try to keep a straight face. Try to keep a straight face...."

When you make sure your cell phone has a full charge and there is someone home to come to the rescue. Just in case.

...you consider an oil leak as your undecarriage corrosion prevention feature.

When driving in the rain and my co pilot at the time asked "why dont you turn on the wipers"?

My reponse was "because the fire extinguisher is in the trunk"

 All of the above and...

Motorcyclist(s)give their 'hello' to you! You respond with 'thumbs up' and a grin that just won't quit.

When the only difference between driving in the rain with the top down or the top up, is that they don't point and laugh at you when the top is up.

People pull right up closely behind you and are looking intently at the right rear of your boot speaking "two words" and you realize after a few times this happens you can lip read "backwards", only two words, "Austin Healey", but they cared enough to find out what kind of car you have.
