Billy,

If you mean my job - I like it!I'm semi-retired(40+ years) ,& work at
Safeway,in the frozen food department 2 days a week.
Not everyone hates their job.

Depends, if it puts food on the table, you do it till something better comes along. If it ends you up in prison, the sooner you stop the better.

Well of course you do, you only work two days a week and when you do, all you do is chill. :jester:

Love my job. I meet and talk to an amazing group of guys in a great hobby. Hate the politics in the business though.

Keeping my options open, but Norfolk Southern hasn't called yet. lol.

I dunno Billy, But if you find out, give me a call. And If I find out, I'll call you....
I don't hate my job per say, but I don't see myself doing it too many more years. Small company, no advancement opportunities, owner not big on raises.... The job it's self is pleasant, and most of the guys I work with are cool, so I'm ok hanging out till something good comes.
I think it's our age Billy. And sometimes I think it's worse for someone who has always thought of themselves as creative. I really feel like I should be a lot further than I am by now. I should have made my mark. And it's at it's worst at this time of year for me. Historically , when I change jobs it's late winter.

Generally, people tend to like the things we're good at. I was once interviewing an old pilot who was fascinated by the fact that I was a musician and making a living at it. He asked me if I liked what I did, and I told him yes. He said that was important and then told me the following quip.

It's important to like what you do. If you like what you do, you tend to work hard at it. If you work hard at it, you will likely develop some level of competency at it. Then, one day you look back at your career and are able to say "Wow, look what I have done".

...and not much else, what do you do?

It's a rhetorical question, if you HATE the something that you're really good at that is/was your main income AND your hobby, what do you do?

And no, I'm not talking about art.

So ... what *are* you talking about?

Inquiring minds want to know!

not any more
