That's just sad!
There's a little chrome bumper midget near me that I asked about 4 years ago (before I bought mine) because it just sits in this guy's driveway. I have to drive by every day and it just looks worse every time. Top has finally given up the ghost, tires are all flat...you all know the scene.
I've stopped twice and made offers, he doesn't want to sell.
By the time he decides to "let it go" it won't be worth anything more than the $150 for the vin #'s and title.
What a shame.
Based on the control module on the firewall (between the heater and pedal boxs) it appears to have a 3 syncro overdrive which should make it worth something.
I think that Doug R is correct in the observation of the OD relay.... Although, with the condition and environment that the car is settled into... the OD may be a big paperweight....
IF, operative word IF, I get this, I will have a ready to rebuild 1800 for my next MG project-- when and if I have one.... Maybe an MG YA/B or another A.... or, or, or.... so many cars, so little money...
