If it really has been "banned", then most likely by the companies that advertise on the media outlets.

Corporations rule!

Man that is brutal !!!!

I can see how they cut the number in half after 20 years.

I wonder how they filmed all that?

I wonder if MADD knows about this?

I'm thinking more of the booze lobbyist

Billy, that's in Oz I think

Wow! that's powerful.
News report last night here. about 10 miles from here, a man hit a house with his car, doing between 70 and 100 mph (In a 30 zone). He fled the scene and let his passenger/girlfriend die. Drinking was involved.
He's been found, now hes in a bit of trouble.

I now Don, but I wonder if the gals know about this.

I'll refrain on comment with that also.

I think everyone already knows where I stand.

trdejavu, this is a subject that has ripped at my heart since fifth grade, i was friends with a young boy that attended the same school as i, we looked like identical twins, literaly our own mothers could not tell us apart, some how without realizing it our parents bought us the exact black lambswool overcoats, i was very protective of my little friend and id always make sure i held his hand while crossing the street to the bus stop even though we had an adult crossing guard, one cool yet sunny day as i crossed with my buddy just half a step behind my pace his hand suddenly let go of mine followed by screams and screeching brakes from half a block away, i changed direction and ran along with teachers and parents towards the cadillac now half on the sidewalk, as i approached the front of the car one of the teachers tried in vain to stop me, what i saw was beyond belief, we children were summarily ushered on to our respective busses for our rides home as the air filled with the frightening blare of sirens, my trip home only took five minutes, most of the time id walk back and forth to school, at our front door our neighbor was reving his corvettes engine in an effort to warm it up as my mother came running out, she couldnt hear me yelling "mom" "mom" as she began to open the passingers door, i ran up to her and grabbed her arm, her face turned milk white as she fell in the street to her knees hugging me and crying uncontrolably, because we looked so much alike and had the same over coat someone from the school called my house and told my mother that i was hit by a car, my poor mom, the driver of the cadillac had been drinking all day at a bar, he was thrown out and on his way to another. its been 49 years not one day has gone by that i havnt thought of my best friend, may the lord keep him, peter ingolio, 11 years old.

I wonder how they filmed all that?

I know of one scene (guy steps out of a car and is clipped by a passing car along with the door)that was taken from a short independent film and was very real looking. Too grewsom to go back and look for others.

My goodness that was powerful. I have often wondered why PSAs on this topic weren't more forceful here. Living here in DC, I have *no* doubt that lobbying groups are responsible for the relatively mild PSAs that sort of suggest we consider perhaps not engaging in harmful or dangerous behavior, you know, if we feel like it.
