Hello All,

I just stumbled upon this site and, I have to admit, the racing photos on the home page appeal to me. (Sorry, I'm just not that much into show cars.) I currently have a 1963 MG Midget that I have owned since high school. It's been sitting in the back of the garage for a few years and I have recently developed a growing urge to haul it out and start restoring it. My plan is to take it vintage racing.

Also, let me apologize up front if I take a while to respond to replies. the work connection strictly forbids non-business access, and the home connection is s-l-o-w, so it doesn't get fired up every day.

Cheers!

Welcome aboard, Art, from Clarksville! Several racers here on the BCF, so you've found the right place.

There's a good group of British car fans in your fair city, with a show in the fall. Even though you may not be interested in showing, you'll meet up with lots of like-minded folks. Website here - and the Nashville club also has a show in the fall, this year on Oct. 10.

Also, for a closer date, check for the show in Townsend, the second weekend in May - click here

Art,

We are glad you stumbled into the best forum for LBC's.

You live in a beautiful area. Send some pictures and enjoy the MG forum and go to the pub to relax.

You don't need to apologize for your slow responses.

Cheers,

Steve

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! Mickey, I have been associated at various levels with the local club for several years. Great bunch of folks. I still keep in touch with several of them and I hope to get more involved again as soon as I can get a few time consuming commitments taken care of. Unfortunately I have missed most of the local shows at the Choo Choo in recent years because it often conflicts with the ARRC race in Atlanta.
