So a good neighbor needed work on his wife's Toyota Venza, rear hub and brake work. I decided it would likely be a dirty job, so dug out an old pair of work clothes. And I mean OLD! Found the shirt to be in a wearable but tatty state, the patches date the era they were in their prime (much like their wearer!). Car got fixed, no blood sacrificed. Had a roast turkey & rice pilaf dinner as compensation. 👍

Likely 45. Would have to check the certs book to be sure. Glad it was finally shortened to ASE.

'nother tidbit: In an article written by a chap called Earl Mowrey, Jr., in a Moss Motoring magazine (issue 3, 2023). He mentions a 1973 visit to Stoddard's in Willoughby, Ohio, and being blown away by seeing a 911 Carrera RS there (first one in the US)... by '78 that car belonged to Stoddard's former Service Manager and he had partnered in the Sewickley dealership, bringing a Porshe franchise with him a couple years earlier. That's how & where those patches were first earned. I've even driven said 911 a bit.
