My bride asked me if I like cars, and I said yes, asked me how long we have been ,married, and I answered, then asked if I want to stay married, and I said yes, she then said to get rid of my newest yard art if I wanted to see another day married, Guess I am getting rid of the yard art tomorrow.

Some people just don't appreciate good art

Yeah, those shutters by the window just have to go.

It's a shame that most woman just don't appreciate our efforts to make the home look nice. Maybe if you painted it a different color, mauve maybe? :jester: PJ

Yeah, and what's up with that bench? Have you no pride? :jester:

I think it blends in quite nicely. Surprised she even noticed it.

the window is down - tell her it's the AC unit

And I'll bet she doesn't let you wash parts in the
dishwasher either.

She has not caught on to that yet.
I always do a post wash after parts.

Dave,

But can you get away with baking engine blocks in the oven,
after they've been painted?
I had a friend who actually did that,& broke one of the shelves
in the oven - his Wife was not amused.

- Doug

No, but I did start making my Carnauba Liquid Wax
by using my wifes blender, worked for quite a while
untill she caught me.
Then I had to buy her a new blender.

I once used my wife's new oven to heat the bearings and transmission case of my Healey BJ8 to assemble it easily.

Bearings dropped onto the shafts and then just slipped into the case. No tapping them into place and taking the chance of flat spotting the bearings. Of course, we didn't have the great heat resistant work gloves we have today...

And the motoroil smell wasn't quite the same as a nice olive oil or vegetable oil... did I mention that the range was new and she hadn't used it yet?

I was just trying to get the car ready for our honeymoon and time was of the essence. Worked great!

C Ya,
Mark

I still have not been caught using the
washing machine to do greasy rags in.
Note:
Always wipe out the ring after washing rags!
Cuz, don't cha know it, they will ALWAYS
do a load of whites after you have done the
greasy rag thing!

Paper towels have saved my marriage (and my tighty-whiteys)! :jester:

I have a cartoon around here somewhere, where a guy asks
his Wife ...."You mean that carburators go on the SECOND shelf?".
He was referring to the dishwasher.

- Doug

Great! Now my wife is talking about replacing the ASKO dishwasher! It's only 16 years old and I haven't ever run car parts through it!

That'll cut into my part budget!

But then... It has a nice stainless steel interior, maybe I can talk her into letting me have it in my shop to go with the old range she found for me to heat parts in...

C Ya,
Mark

Nothing wrong with a parts washer out in the shop.
