XKR with manual trans ?

COUNTACH

I thought 1 of the mags said that Jag was working on a proper trans for the XKR & that it might b out in a year or 2. Any word?
What a shame & embarasment to have an auto trans in an otherwise cool car

I agree - A Jaguar should have a REAL transmission - not some whimpy auto thingy (no offense to you auto drivers), but I can understand it in a large sedan, but not in a sports car! (At least make it an option!) By the way Countach, welcome back. Have not seen you in a while.

Latest rumor I heard was that "many" of the performance goodies from the XKR-R one-off would make it to production. Nothing specifically related to the tranny though. Somehow, I doubt that will make it here, simply because it would really need to be a factory installed item (unlike brakes, wheels, tires, etc..). darn shame, though!
