Beautiful all black, late 60's early 70's, XKE convertible with chrome wire wheels. It was entering a parking stucture as I was exiting here in downtown LA yesterday. I've never seen a black XKE before this and don't know if that is an original color - I just know the car was beautiful!

Can't imagine a more appropriate color for an XKE. Think <span style="font-style: italic">panther</span>. In my opinion, the XKE is one of the sexiest cars ever designed.

Yeah, maybe someday...
 
We have a 67 coupe that is\was black as new, chrome wires, beautiful.

But a real beach to do the bodywork on :wink:.

I painted it at 17 yrs old and then again at 25. Seven coats hand rubbed lacquer as original. Later in life it was given two stage paint.

Muuahhh!
