The speedometer on my '67 XKE 2+2 quit. So I bought a new cable. Nope. It was the receiver thingy on the transmission. New one installed. At first the speedo worked but it was reading slow. Then it was reading real slow and then finally just croaked. Not much left but the guage so how do I get the stupid thing out and who fixes them? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

pretty easy but helps if you've got a small hand...reach up under the dash just as you did with the cable replacement and just a couple of finger screws on the back of it holding the bracket....then pull out remove the connections and unscrew cable....

but I'd get some input as to if that's still really the problem...seems odd it worked for awhile after you swtiched the tranny unit....what say you fellow BCFers??
