New member who has owned a 1969 XKE 2+2 for a little over a year. Have joined a couple of forums and the Greater Ozarks British Motoring Club where we have developed friendships with many great folks. So far we have replaced the non-working factory air with a Retroair unit, replaced fuel pump due to on the road failure, replaced original front seat covers with BAS covers, had some minor body and paint work repaired due to an at speed tire failure, and hopefully the last in a long series of tries to get the original installed Philips Tourismo Speciale radio working. The e type has the optional steel wheels. Other classics include 61, 64, and 69 Corvettes, 57 Thunderbird, and 94 Viper. I am a retired municipal public works employee who worked in water, wastewater, hazardous and special solid waste fields. Happily married for 52 years. Transitioned from motorcycles to classic cars when the body could no longer handle long distance motorcycle events.

Welcomer from another E owner. I've always thought the E was the most beautiful mass produced car ever created.
