Aggravated with Lucas master clutch rebuild kit. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif The instructions state how to put the single o ring on the piston and that a NEW MASTER SHOULD BE FITTED IF THE PISTON TAKES Two SEALS. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

Any body know where you can get a two seal kit for the clutch master?

Might try Pegasus racing. they handle a lot of Lucas hydraulics, especially master cylinders.

I had problems as well.
I had Apple hydraulics send me a rebuilt one so I could get the car going then returned the old one in their box for the core charge.

The Girling part # for the kit with two seals is SP1971 and was last available in the later 70's. Use a SP1963 , ignore the 2nd seal and go with it. I have done it umpteen times. That is as long as the bore is good. Do not hone aluminum bores with coarse stones.

Thanks for the information. I think the bore is ok. Most of the brake shops, IF they have a REAL motor head there, can rebuild the cylinder and can find a suitable return spring. I will give that idea a try before buying the Apple. Apple does great work judging by a master they rebuilt a few years ago for a different car. I am a long way from getting on the road so I can wait for the rebuiling while I find something else I can not do.
