XK150 dash pad

I may be lucky enough to get an old project back on the drawing board. In thinking through the mayn things to do, I don't have a clue about the efforts and skills to remove the dash top and replace it with a new on. The project is an XK 150 roadster. The dash top is leather and did not just dry up, it is mummified. Was there foam under the leather? I don't think my problem will be sourcing on this, but putting it on will be quite a new experience for me.

Yes there is one eighth inch foam under the leather top and a "D" shaped crash roll foam on the front. Installing is tricky, but let me know if I can help.

Dave.

Thanks for the info. The lower part of the dash looks good (to me). It will be a while before I get to it but I will keep your info.
Thanks again.
