xk140 disc brake conversion

Hi,
I just discovered your forum, and really am impressed with all the info and activity.
I have several British cars as well as a few others (38 and 40 Buicks, 49 Packard.. and the list is growing.....)
I bought my xk140 (1957 FHC) 3 years ago and it is my favorite and most frequently driven car.
Recently I took my plan to convert to front disc brakes a step further, accumulating MOST of the parts needed; namely, a set of xk150 splined hubs, xk150 rotors and XJ6 calipers. At this point, I found out that the vendor I was planning to use for the adaptors changed suppliers and the brackets I was planning to buy are no longer available. They have another supplier from UK, but the price almost tripled....
If anybody has any ideas, or has actually done the conversion, I would really appreciate some help and advice. I would consider having the adaptors made, but with no 'template', it is a bit of a challange. Or if there is another kit on the market that will not cost more than the car, I would't mind going that route, too.
Thanks,
Tom
