XK 140 FHC Frame dimensions

Can anybody help me with the frame dimensions of a 140 FHC? I fear that my car had the frame damaged in the past.

Any help or directions to a source of info highly appreciated.

I don't have the dimensions available but when you do the measuring, since you suspect accident damage, be sure to meaure diagonals to ensure the frame is square. Even if the main rails are straight it can be kinked a bit to one side.

The problem is that, most likely, both front members of the frame are slightly bend. With the measurements I could put the car on a bench and repair it properly.

Hi Folks,

thanks for trying to help me ...to be more precise, I am looking for a chassis alignment diagramm. Yes, many workshop manuals show it in the bodywork section. But I do not find it for the XK 140. The one for the XK150 can be find below, but I fear that the XK140 is different from that of the 150.

Hi Thomas, I have a 140 FHC 1956 which is awaiting restoration and which I hope to start when I finish my two Healey's I am presently doing, fingers crossed no more earthquakes, and maybe a blessing from above or somewhere I will start it early next year.
Anyway a couple of months ago I purchased a fantastic book "Jaguar XK140 Explored by Bernard Viart" published by PJ Publishing Ltd, Barton on Sea Hampshire UK. I think it is available from paulskilleterbooks.com, it is a MUST HAVE for an XK140 restorer/owner, it gives you all the demensions you are looking for.
