xj6 Seat Belt

On my 1989 xj6, the driver's automatic seat belt does not move. The motor works fine, it's just that the piece that you plug the belt into does not move back and forth with the piece on the track. I was told by a mechanic that Jaguar has this part insured for life. To get this replaced, what would I need to do? Do I set up an appointment with Jaguar?

Thank you

Contact your local dealer Chef. They were made to warranty the passive belts "for life". Now, I have no idea what "life" is to Jaguar, but so far they have fixed all customer cars with no problems.
