XJ6 question

Hi, I normally lurk in the Spridget forum but now I have a Jag question. I have a chance to purchase a 95 XJ6. This would be a daily driver for me. It has about 180k km (110k miles) This is a long shot and what I really need is someone to talk me out of this. That being said, if I do go look, what do I look for? weak spots? areas of concern? etc. etc.

Thanks

My parents have one the same vintage....fewer miles however. As always with a Jag, check for rust or traces of repairs to that rust, in the rear wheelarches. I don't think that they have had any "issues" however, I shall check fo you and respond.....

Not sure if you really wanted to hear this.......but other that having to replace the power antenna which went for a loop, and routine maintenance, my parents' 1995 XJ6 has not needed ANYTHING! My dad says that he has never had a mechanical problem at all.

Now, results may vary, so maybe wait for the professionals who inhabit this forum to give you their 2c worth......

Well, I have a 96 I bought for a daily driver. Looks just like that one, but that one has heated seats and mirrors, usually indicates Traction control, that mine does not have.
I paid $7k, only needed a brake job that I will do, and oil and fluids service.
