xj 4.2 engine rebuild

Hi people john here from way down in the antipodies.My problem is i have what everyone dreads ,a brother inlaw with a very sick XJ6 and no money.my quuestion is there after market pistons etc that can be used to rebuild said rocket as O.M.E.parts are a grand a cyl down here.the common fix is a chev transplant but i and he prefer to stay oridginal.any advice will be gratefully accepted

Try www.xks.com & www.sngbarratt.com as a atart. I don't know the currency exchange rate between New Zealand ans US, but surely you can find overhaul parts for less.
