x-type Sport Wagon

Hello: I'm usually on the sprite site looking for info on my 61 Austin Healey BugEye.

Now, however, we're looking to replace my wife's CRV. I've been researching the Jaguar x-type Sportwagon.

I know that it's discontinued, so of course, looking for a pre-owned one.

Opinions?

Info?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Dave,
All Jaguars are bad news unless you have lots of time, money and a sense of absurd humor. I've run out of all three since I got my first one six years ago. I would trade all three of mine for a decent old Mini.

Steve: I thought (read, heard, etc.) that later model Jaguars were supposed to be solid, reliable, and maintenance friendly. Your insight to the contrary is, of course, making me doubt my decision...and I appreciate it.

Wow!

Own 3 Jags 2005 XK8.....2007 S-type...1970 E-type OTs...LOVE all three normal maintenance.....not expensive..... great to drive...

Must have the "better" Jags ...do your research and have the car inspected..not a fan of X-types have driven a few... But a LOW mileage inexpensive one might be hard to turn down.
