I can't recall if this has been posted here before.

These are all videos and many are stunning. I just watched some of the close-in film of Japanese Zeros attaching B-29s over Fujiyama. Never seen anything like that before.
The WW II "gadgets" was great.

Note: this is obviously real war and some is grizzly.

Thanks Nial. Just sent the link to my air museum volunteers. Very nostalgic, the aerial views of San Francisco. Very ghastly - May 1945 in Berlin.

Lest we forget. When a war starts, the outcome is impossible to see.

Finally getting around to reading <span style="font-style: italic"> Flyboys </span>, by James Bradley. Tells the story of the Pacific theater. Compelling.
 
Have you guys seen Dogfights on the History channel? It's a pretty cool, interesting way to tell some aviation history...

We watch it regularly. As a result of one of the earlier ones, got in touch with one of the pilots. They sent me info and a CD with great stuff on it. And an invite to their reunion. I flew with some of those guys.

'smits went to the Verizon store to pay the bill a couple years ago and was asked if she wanted to upgrade to one of the "packages" with movie access, etc. She told the sales weasel there was no need, as all she got to watch was The Military Channel... awakened in the middle of the night to the sounds of afterburners, miniguns and AIM-9 growlers... :smirk:
 
Why is it that these ladies have no sense of humor? They don't even like a good beatem up, shootem up, or blowem up flick. Makes no sense to me. :rolleyes:

The operative word might be "midnight" As usual, timing is everything.
