Steve said:
and wait for the second phase of the winter storm. 5" plus overnight, another 8" expected this afternoon through Sunday morning.
Steve, have you read this?
NWS, WI
They're talking up to an additional 14" in your NOTW, that sand for your beach may come in handy.

Drive up the coast to Moss for a few parts.

Put the final coat of POR15 on the Y-Type fuel tank and paint the rear section of under body.

Tune up the BGT.

There's more to do but I know I won't get more than that done.

Uh, Steve, Lake Ontario is fresh water. You know, the stuff you can drink, (if so inclined.)

Exactly and so are all the other lakes in Ontario

No love for me this weekend. Getting all my stuff together for round two with my tax man this afternoon. Had a banner year last year!...... <UGH!> And now I'm paying for it.

You said "the beach". I assumed you were driving to the ocean. I've never heard someone refer to a lake shore as a beach! LOL!

Well, there's one up near Sudbury that I'm not sure of. It's kind of a red color.
Jeff

Should still be "fresh" water up there the colour probably comes from ore deposits or mine tailings

Steve, the first time my nephews and niece were here, from the Sacto area, they couldn't believe that the Great Lakes were fresh water. From the shore, any of those lakes look just like an ocean.
Jeff

I agree there, they do look like oceans. But they are lakes. Lakes have shores. Oceans have beaches! LOL! I guess it's a local thing. No one on the west coast would call a lake shore a beach, but I suppose when you live a few hundred miles from an ocean and have an ocean-looking body of water near you, it makes sense to call it a beach. Ok, I'm gonna go get a nice tall glass of shut the heck up now. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Here you go Steve
n : an area of sand sloping down to the water of a sea or lake
v : land on a beach, as of watercraft

Lakes and oceans both have shores, and if you walk along the shore, every so often there comes a spot which provides good access to the water and, voila! there is a Beach (East coast, West coast or in between)!! A real inviting one may be covered with fine silica, and THAT would be a sandy beach, (or as I saw on a sign on a recent overseas vacation, a "sundy bich" at which were provided "ubmerellas"!!)Hehehe /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

bugeyemike, you guys really got me confused now, while standing at a betting window at aqueduct raceway in queens n.y. an old timer slipped me a note "eagle dance in the fifth"- "shore ting" /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
