Built this trellis (think that's what its called) today over the front of the main GarageMahal building....Jerri had planted 2 Wisteria plants before we went to Geremany & they were reaching the roofline.

I like that Tony, looks like it belongs there for sure.

But but do I see dust on those cars? Shame on you.

You're just doin' that so's you're left with nothin' BUT the GTS to drive! :jealousy:

Let's see... We went to Gillette Castle yesterday with great directions over some real twisty back roads. Then over to Devils Hopyard State Park on a whim. About an hour later and what seemed like an eternity of driving tiny back woods roads I found myself in Colchester, CT an hour east of where I was suppose to be. Getting lost is great. $3.95 for a map later and we were back on track.

The CT home of the first actor to portray Shelock Holmes.

Been to Gilette Castle many times and love it - especially the wooden door latch mechanisms and secret mirrors.

I'm currently staying at Camp Pendleton. Saw more LBC's yesterday in nearby towns than at home in a year. It seems backwards since our roads are far better suited. Having a great time with the lad - winery visit yesterday after some time at the marina resulted in experiencing a truely repellant Merlot at supper but even that was fun. Beer compensates.

Went to a Frye's (sp?) which was a first and a revelation. I'd be broke if I lived near one.

USS Midway today possibly, weekend recovery tomorrow, head up the coast on Tues. Week following will be in Moab.

Carefully watching for Bret in the rear view mirror based on reading posts earlier.

Why whatever are you talking about. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif

Actually that little road trip I mentioned in the other thread was to pick up my niece to visit with us over the weekend. So far we’ve had had a great time at pool side and visiting & won’t be heading back to my mom’s in Menifee late this afternoon. Probably going to take the truck and not the P-car because I might have to take the girls & my son in tow too.

Car show with the Midget yesterday, fairly uneventful but there were two red MGBs parked next to me. On the way back I came up behind a white RB Midget, we pulled over and talked cars for a bit. Then a black late model Celica pulled up behind and joined in, he was the friend of the guys in the white car and they were making downhill runs against each other! After that Jen and I headed home and went cruising later. We saw a car we detailed at work this week in one of the cruise spots, way cool! We also got to watch the Midget turn over 48,000 miles. Today I'm relaxing here, I may tinker with Charlotte a bit. Mostly I'm just running my RC cars and browsing forums.

No construction so: changed leaking rubber seals on Bro's Honda Si "VTEC" valve (whatever THAT is! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif ) yesterday. This AM swapped the fuel filter on Cowboy's MGB. Tough weekend. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

You're in the wrong part of So Cal then. On your way up the coast, stop by my place. I'll take you for a ride on some "real" sports car roads. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

craving a pro telephoto lens, so I can nice quality dance photos, compared to the crap above /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Today I attended a local street festival, biggest waste of my weekend, a real letdown as it was hardly worth attending, took hardly any photos, almost wish I had just gone to day two of the Latin festival instead... Although I did use the day to re-connect with an old friend (who lives in the same area as the street festival), a friend who I haven't seen in far too long so that was good...

Saturday: Went to a friend's BD party.
Sunday: successfully changed my radiator, clutch slave cylinder, and flex line.

In between those activities, I managed to read half of the new Harry Potter book. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
