wuz doin' this weekend?

Left the house early this morning and went to a "Burito Bandits" get together at a Starbuck's in Albuquerque. Got noticed by the local car council. Agatha (my Healey) and I were the only Brits there. To our left were two very large Hummers and to our right were a string of fierce looking Corvettes. This was followed by some good looking Porches, a few BMW's and Mercedes (s) and sundry other street rods. Agatha was not at all intimidated and raised her bonnet along with the Hummers and Vettes.

On serious note, all the caregivers were more than gracious.

This evening going to a local pub (bar) to hear some friend's band and plan to be home early.

Tomorrow means a run to Java Junction in Madrid first in AM and back in time to beat the heat and just veg.

well, I didn't do quite what I had planned. Instead I did one wheel start to finish. I gotta say, it turned out rather nice looking even though it was all rattle can paint. I had some problems with debris when I was applying the primer, but managed to fix that with a scotch brite pad.

I'd post pictures, but the batteries for the camera are dead and I didn't get to take any. I put them on the charger around noon. So, they should be good to go tomorrow. I'll be sure to take a bunch of pics in progress.

One thing I don't like about rattle cans is my fingers usually get all jacked up from pressing the button down. The primers had a fan spray pattern and the force to press was fine. However, the nozzle on the color and clear coats has the typical conical spray pattern and those always leave my fingers dysfunctional afterwards.

Still, I'm quite pleased with the end result. It's not 'professional' quality work, but from 10ft away you'd be hard pressed to know /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
 
Tore down a six foot tall cedar fence, built an eight foot tall cedar fence. Stubbed 72 six foot cedar fence boards onto 72 other six foot cedar fence boards to make 72 more eight foot boards. Left enough time to take the Healey out in the hottest part of the day for about four hours on Sunday, but it was great cause we took her up into the mountains, where it was cooler.
