Anyone out there have one of these original steering wheels for sale or trade? The foam rubber one has to go its driving me to drink to much.

Cheers

Hey John

I think that is correct only the big MG in the center.

Maybe I could find a center cap?

Do you want to sell it or trade for some Bugeye parts?

Mark

Center cap should be like this

You all do know that is not a Bugeye wheel. Later Sprite type.

That's right Jack I want it for my 1966 Austin Healey Sprite I just purchased. Back into Sprite's after selling my Bug-eye a couple of years ago. The big Healey is just not big enough for a family of four.
Still got a bunch of bug-eye parts.

Cheers

Mark,

Sorry, it's not for sale. I recently aquired that particular MKIII wheel for my Bugeye. (I also got an AH center) I was just hoping it would be helpful for me to post a photo of what you were looking for. Sorry for any confusion. But keep an eye on ebay, they do show up from time to time.

Good luck in your hunt!

No problem John

Should look good in a bug-eye but it's not the correct wheel.

Anyone looking for bug-eye parts let me know I still have some.
Jack got my last choke cable which was new old stock.

A MKIII steering wheel will NOT fit a Bugeye.
Different spline, and the Bugeye is 5/8 where the MKIII is 3/4. It will almost work if you have the MKIII steering column but that column is longer than the Bugeye column.
I tried all kinds of ways to put my Formula wood steering wheel from a MKIII into my Bugeye including changing the column. It does not work.

Hmmm, this wheel seems to fit my Bugeye column just fine. Maybe it's an early MKIV, I dunno! But it's the wheel without a horn push in the middle. For whatever sprite it's from the horn was moved to the stalk. Mine is from a '68.

And Miss Agatha is loven it Mark. Was just the right part.
