The above web page shows the master cylinder, I just rebuilt mine and the banjo fitting as well. However I used the wrong washer at the mc side of the banjo fitting. I should have used one #8 and one #10, but I used two #8 instead. What is best guess as to ramifications. I really don't want to have to take this apart again, but I'd like to come to a graceful stop when I need to of course.

Got it all clean and dry?

Take some spray talc powder(foot powder, desenex works good) spray around the fitting, completely. Then step on the brake pedal. Give it about four or five quick hard jabs, as if you were panic stopping. Hold your foot on the pedal for about twenty seconds. See that the pedal holds. Then pump the pedal again for a few times then hold about 1/2 pressure, light like you're at a stop light. Then get out and look to see if there is any wetness on the powder. If there is a trail or dampness..............New washers. If not, should be ok, but check it occasionally, especially as you would be good to check the tightness after a few miles.

Thanks Ron, Good advice. I've used the talcum powder years ago, forgot all about it. Alls well, no leaks. Washers stay.
Whew!
