Wrong Clutch Disc?

Hi guys,
I'm slowing starting to put everything back together with my gearbox swap on my TR4. I recently received my new release bearing and clutch disc among other parts but when I went to put the clutch assembly on the flywheel, I noticed the clutch disc is too big for my original Borg and Beck pressure plate. I measured the two: Old=8.5", New=9". I've just done some quick googling and noticed that the TR4As switched to the smaller disc.

I didn't know there was a difference to begin with nor did I know I had a TR4A pressure plate and disc in my TR4 so I ordered everything for a TR4 according to Moss (part #591-000 for TR2-4).

I was planning on reusing my old bearing sleeve for the new release bearing I just ordered along with the old pressure plate. But now I'm worried since those will probably be all mismatched now, right? Do I now need a whole new bearing setup and/or pressure plate?

Sounds like it would be cheaper and easier to stick with your 4A setup. The 4A pressure plate also mounts differently than the earlier clutch, meaning the flywheel will probably have to be modified to fit a TR4 pressure plate (unless it already has both sets of holes).

The TOB is definitely different, as I recall so is the carrier.

I have just done that to my 3A although I have installed a Triumph 2500TC Gearbox. I think the same as the TR6. I sent the flywheel to the Clutch Company and they fitted a total replacement Clutch Kit. They surface ground the flywheel and drilled and tapped the new screw holes and dowels.
Everything including the new thrust bearing fitted beautifully. $520.
