Sounds/LOOKS like a BIG mess to me! NO wonder he wants to pawn it off on someone whom thinks they can make something out of it.
 
Shot-pinged rods:

The engine suffered from "pinging" (detonation) and the rods were so damaged that they are now "shot" (slang for ruined).
 
With so many donor parts shouldn't this be listed under vehicle type 'other'?

That's a misspelling. The car has been sitting idle, so he meant to write "idle-block".
