Reid: I believe the last car I drove on wagon wheels, I mean, bias-plies, was a '56 Jensen 541R.
The tires looked to be about 3-3/4" wide (X 16", IIRC) and the car would fish-tail standing still!
But what a list of standard equipment for 1956; fibreglas body/1-piece clamshell hood, Austin 4.0 litre, thermostatically controlled radiator opening block off panel, David Brown gearbox (WIDE-WIDE throws), knock off steel/aluminum composite wheels, and four (4) wheel disc brakes!
It was RHD, of course, and Ray & I would take it for ice cream cone runs in SF; he'd shift while I steered and operated the pedals. I miss him.
