WOW..I used to have one of those!

OK, I'm resurrecting an older thread, but have to add to this.

Today, I had a buddy from work come over to help me put in an air conditioner in a window. It's a little heavy and bulky so I needed some help. He hasn't seen the TR3 since it was finished. After all the oohs and aahs, we decided to take it for a spin. I've always had it on the back roads and things, and never stopped any place where people could just look and make their comments...until today. I said let's stop by the beer distributor and get a couple of Trappist ales.

We pulled into the parking lot and got out of the car. A guy was waliking out with a case of beer in his hands, stopped, put the beer on the ground and with big eyes said "A TR3!". He looked all around it and said "This looks like it just rolled off the assembly line...yeah, the four year assembly line! He mentioned that he had a TR4 back in the day. We chatted. I showed him under the bonnet, and well, that's been my first encounter.

We'll see what the future brings.
