Wow, back to work so we could retire :]

When we moved for my wife's work I had to close my company down.
Been slowly trying to get it started here.

My wife and I work for the same company...well, she worked for the same company, as she decided to retire two weeks ago..........

Yep, we're the same way, both worked for the same company. .......

The wife retired last week - my turn's comin'!

Man, there's a lot of wives retiring here! And a lot of husband/wives working together too. Mine retired not long ago.
We both worked at the same place for the last 30+ years.

And I'm loving it....we have a lot more freedom to do stuff since we only have one work schedule to deal with. My job is basically my hobby so I'll never retire. :friendly_wink:

I'm done too. (auto career wise) Doin' art now full time. Just had a meeting with a guy we know about doing some production work. It's funny how people change when money is involved. Ol' boy had to be the man and play boss, had to remind him I don't have, want or need one; point taken.

So far it seems to be really good. Their benefit package is excellent, and you qualify after only ninety days. It was the combination of health insurance and no apparent age discrimination that drew me there. There is quite a long waiting list at our local store, I think I was extremely lucky.

Yep, right off of US 70' beside the ballpark. That was me last night running around the parking lot gathering up stray carts. Usually I'm the one asking "would you like boxes?"Ah, the life of the new guy at the store:smile:

My wife and I have spent a lot of time near Mt Pleasant, too. Our closest friend and his wife are both professional artists, and they used to live out on Folly. About ten years ago it got too crazy for them out there, and they built a home just across Rt 17 from you, back along the edge of the Francis Marion forest. He passed away last year, but she still lives there and operates an art school called The Studio over in West Ashley. The point of all of this is that we are often in the Charleston area, and would have retired there if we hadn't discovered all of the golf courses down at the villages in Florida

Geez, I can't throw a rock without hitting a course here
Though, the ones in Fl. might be easier.
Less Water :encouragement:
I'm just on the outskirts of the S. edge of the Forest

The Villages?! Why didn't you say so.... :D

JP, I can't get that site to open?

Yep, that about sums it up!
