Would you do a classic car journey?

During the summer when I have to spend time in DC I usually will drive my 8. It is about 5 hours each way and it is easier to park than my truck, easier to find spots to park in and as long as the weather is nice it is a nice drive

We just came up 95 from SC on Monday - road construction northbound in SC, NC and VA. What should have been an 8 hour trip turned into 12. We usually take our time and go down (or up) highway 17, takes a lot longer, but it's a lot more fun, especially in the Healeys.

I'm pretty sure someone passed a law that requires that at least 3 states that I95 runs through must have major construction on I95 at any given time.

Did anyone ever hear the end results of the group that was travelling across the US in the 3-4 microcars? There was a posting here several months ago. I forget the make, but they were fabric covered?
