Now that I have finally finished my FJ40 project(long story), Im looking to get reacquainted with my '63 Vitesse Sports 6!
Its been almost 4 years since I have done anything on it other than start it up once in a while.
Here are a few pic's Ive scanned or taken over the years of owning it that shows some of the progress I have made, If you wish to have a look...

Sports 6

At this point I need to do the work that I dislike the most.. Body work, An owner long before I ever owned it did some heavy bondo work on the RH rear fender, Some almost 1/2" thick, Its never seen the road, But its already cracking, So I guess I get to take another auto body class again this Fall to fix it.
Like I have said before, Hopefully I can be a better member to this forum.
Cheers

What a fun car to work on!

Nice looking and also very fun to drive. Please keep us posted on your progress.

Does yours have overdrive? How's the drivetrain condtion?

Thanks.
My car does not have overdrive...Unfortunately.
As for the drive train, I'm not 100% sure, I have only driven it a few blocks, It runs well, shifts smoothly, I haven't heard any odd noises that I can recall, I may need to put in some hardened valve seats some time down the road, Unless I can find lead additives.
But time will tell.

Hi, Brian! I wouldn't worry much about the valve seats and definitely wouldn't bother with an additive. If, in the 30,000 miles I've put on my Herald since getting it (@ 50,000 miles showing and presumably original engine), I've seen no valve recession, I doubt you'll see much (if any) on the 6! And my Herald hasn't exactly been babied in those 30,000 miles, having done its fair share of highway miles at highway speeds. Granted, your Sports 6 (as I recall, it's pretty much as original) has the same 4.11:1 diff. ratio as the Herald, but that lazy, torquey six doesn't really have to work very hard, unlike the little four in the Herald! :driving:
