In the garage today and Miss Agatha called out, hay Jack look at this stuff under me, I need help.

Gesh, dam rubber tube from head to block let go, it was only 4 years old. Bet Moss got it from China.

Will replace with a good stout peice of hose from the local car store.

And me with a car show tomorrow, glad she is being trailered. Only a short run from parking lot to the field.

Dam Chineeze, bet Spritenut is laughing at me now.

IMO, that accordion type hose should only be used as a temporary emergency repair.
Both of mine have plain old heater hose.

Mine are about to let go, cracking and brittle. Two years.

NAPA may be a better bet but ya gotta wait for 'em to FIND the pieces.

Jack, I eliminated that darn aggravation on my engine, but if I still had the little devil I would be using silicone and forget about any more failures. I notice this one on Flee-Bay, Item number 290547766338

Bought it Blue, thanks for link, will never need to get another.

Hope I can get it on without pulling head and stuff.

Dam Chineeze junk.

I've been able to install heater hose with the head in place, so that silicone hose should be easy.

I'm with Trevor on this.
The accordian hose is sheet. Ive got regular heater hose on mine.
I was able to cut a piece about 1/4" short, but stll long enough to span the two pipes.
I warmed up the hose, got out some grease and a couple of long screwdrivers and installed it without puling the head.
FWIW, pulling the water pump is easier than pulling the head.

Just ordered one for me as well, actually wanted 2 but would only let me select one, ahh well need it for the 74 for sure, it's going to Midget 50th this summer...
Thanks for the link !

Shucks did they offer to replace it? NOOOOOO. Now is when we miss Tony for sure, he had an in with them.

However, I will be on the look out for silicone hoses top and bottom. They will then be the last I will ever need.
