I finally got around to programming my EFI computer to control my electric fan. The fan is now set to come on at 180° F instead of just running all the time.

Well, now the car actually runs cooler. It has a 165° thermostat in there, and it pretty much pegs there unless I idle for a long time. I think I may have to put a hotter thermostat in the car!

Morris, you shame me! I totally forgot that Megasquirt will do this and I have an electric fan as well. Tonight's project is now on the table.

I am using Fidle control to run my fan as I am using my stock carb and thus stock choke. If you are not using Filde control, I can send you the code I created to allow you to use Fidle to run your fan. If you are using Fidle control, you have to fab up a simple circuit to control the fan and make a few mods to your MS board. You can find the schematic on the MSextra site and you can buy a kit for the circuit form Diyautotune.
