Finally got a round tuit.

Coming to you from a Fedora Core 6 whizz-bang server! Took time for ME today and set up this replacement for "Badger" our trusty old K6-400 AMD "GPU". Poor dear has run near-continuously for five years... RH9 was the last version I'd put on it, that was over two years ago. I was hoping to get a replacement set up before it crashed beyond redemption. THIS time I managed to actually DO it.

YAY!!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

So now you're gonna spend more time in the garage?
Better budget for an upgrade on CAB storage also.

THAT'S th' truth, innit... Got me mits on one wot'll hold more'n a 12-pack right now. Double the capacity! Works great but it'll need scrubbin' out and paintin' Alfa Rosso first. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

I'll relegate this other'n to keepin' all the adhesives, goop 'n goo in.

Jack: I'll get there... in time. I'm in 'pooter mode now, client has some 'needs' and I get a check: CAR PARTS!!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Pro'lly no more'n 90 days... I'm always fiddlin' wifit. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

The firewall ('nother Linux kernel) has been up to 140+ days at times. Usually "Florida Flicker-N-Flash" is the issue, not the machines. That'n is currently at 31 days. I did an update.

awwww... sounds like the firewall is a likely candidate for a UPS. My longest uptime ever was on a 100MHz P100 running Slackware (can't remember which version). It had an uptime of around 500days before I took it down to move.

My new firewall box is struggling for 2 weeks uptime. I gotta get those batteries in the UPS replaced!

A client has one of my firewall boxes which has been up for 267 days as of this afternoon. Quite pleased.
