Several years before the Afghan conflict, Barbra Walters, co-host of 20/20, did a story on gender roles in Kabul, Afghanistan.
She noted that women customarily walked 5 paces behind their husbands.
She recently returned to Kabul and observed that--in spite of the overthrow of oppressive Talaban regime--women still walked behind their husbands, and appear happy to maintain the old custom. Walters approached one of the women and asked: "Why do you now seem to prefer an old custom that you once tried so hard to change?'
The woman looked Ms Walters straight in the eyes and said, without hesitation said: <span style="color: #FF0000">"LAND MINES"!</span>
Moral of the story: No what language you speak or where you go,
BEHIND EVERY MAN, <span style="color: #993399">THERE'S ONE SMART WOMAN!</span>
